BEATRICE (BEA) SALAZAR, 90, a resident of Española, peacefully went home to be with our Lord and reunited with her husband Ralph Salazar, Sr. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her children, Vivian and Raymond Salazar; parents, Jose and Concepcion War; brothers, Margarito and Hilario War; sisters, Isabel Padilla, Lucy Salazar, and Josie Quintana; grandsons, Joshua Bueno, Ezekiel Salazar, Herman, Melvin and Jeremy Trujillo. Beatrice was a loving mother and grandmother; she was faithful and a woman of strong faith, whom loved to sing and praise our God. She enjoyed gatherings with her family and her extended Christian family, she was an excellent cook. Mrs. Salazar is survived by her children, Clarabelle Trujillo, Berlinda George (Glen), Renee Armijo (Marcos), Ralph Salazar (Annette), Levi Salazar (Geraldine), Eli Salazar (Cindy); daughter-in-law, Stella Salazar; sisters; Nora Halford, Toni Serrano, and Manuelita Lynch; brother-in-law, Andres Salazar (Grace); sister-in-law, Vita Moya; a very beloved and close nephew, Margarito War (Ida); her personal care taker and dear friend, Mrs. Lena Trujillo (Marvin); 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also at Victory Faith Church in Española. Burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Antonio Trujillo, Trenton Vigil, Matthew Salazar, Dominic Manzanares, Gabriel Salazar and Rafael Salazar. Honorary pallbearers will be, Tim Vigil, Miguel Salazar, Joseph Padilla and Jerome Archuleta. The family of Beatrice (Bea) Salazar has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
