Beatrice Montaño, 90, a resident of Santa Fe passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, August 3, 2012. She was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother. She was involved in the church teaching C.C.D., she worked with senior citizen centers and with Open Hands. Beatrice was very much involved with her family. She was a very good cook, very cordial and always very loving. She also belonged to Nocturnal Adoration. Beatrice was preceded in death by husband, Roman; children: Rosemary, Altagracia, Ernesto and Orlando Montaño; parents, Pedro and Cleofas Martinez; brothers/sisters: Leopoldo, Pedro, Rosenaldo, Teodoro, Leandro Martinez, Jesusita Ulibarri and Amalia Valdez. Beatrice is survived by her children: Cleo Espinosa (Frank), Paul Montaño, Casilda Lucero and James Montaño (Margaret) all of Santa Fe; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Florentina Archuleta of Albuquerque; numerous other loving relatives, nieces, nephews & friends. Special thanks to caregivers, Annalilia Calderon, Anna Cordova, Manuela, Ambercare Hospice Staff and Dr. Sue Katz. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. a St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Burial will follow at the Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe with the following family serving as pallbearers: Frank Valdez, Allen Martinez, Phillip Archuleta, Paul Martinez, Gilbert Espinosa and Roman Duran.
