Beatrice J. Apodaca, 76, a resident of Fairview, New Mexico, departed this world peacefully to join the Lord and her husband Ernest early Wednesday morning, October 12, 2022.  She was born and raised in El Guache, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 Years, Ernest J.P. Apodaca; her parents, Felix and Angelina Salazar; and her in-laws, Jose and Rosa Apodaca. Beatrice was an amazing cook and enjoyed baking for her children and grandchildren.  She was always a hard worker and did all she could for her family. She was a devoted catholic and recited the rosary nightly while attending church on a regular basis. Beatrice was a dedicated mother and treasured every moment she had with her children. She loved and took pride in being a grandma, and all her grandkids loved spending time with her. She will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor, infectious laugh, and warm hugs; to be loved by her was truly a blessing. She will be watching over us with her blue-eyed angel, Ernest. Beatrice will be greatly missed by all those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Apodaca and wife Victoria, Jesse Apodaca and wife Sandra, Jimmy Apodaca and companion Cynthia; her daughter, Angela “Ja-Ja” Cordova and husband Raynaldo; grandson, Jeremy Apodaca (Ashley), who was raised as a son; Sisters, Dilia Romero from El Guache, Toni Sisneros and husband Arturo from El Rito, Clara Briggs and husband Duane from Rochester, NY; her grandchildren; Nicholas Apodaca, Jimmy “JJ” Apodaca Jr., Geno Montano (Mariah), Rebecca Apodaca, Samantha Velasquez, Derick Apodaca (Candace), Corey Apodaca (Kenneth), Fabian Apodaca, Mario Romero, Dominic Apodaca, Heather Apodaca (Alex), Kenneth Apodaca, Andrew Apodaca, Joseph Fresquez, (Jenasi), LeeAndra Jaramillo (Brandon), Adrian “AJ” Apodaca, and Noray Cordova (Joey); 18 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm on Monday October 24, 2022, in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m at Santa Cruz de La Canada and Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
