Beatrice - Age 82 - Cuyamungue Duran

Beatrice Duran, 82, a resident of Cuyamungue passed away following a lengthy illness on Thursday, July 12, 2012. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Ortiz; sister, Tessie Martinez. Beatrice is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward Duran of Cuyamungue; children: Cathy Garcia and husband Sam of Albuquerque, Patti Muxlow and husband Ralph of Richland, MO, Phillip Duran and wife Angela of Cuyamungue, Diana Duran and husband Joe Lujan of Santa Fe, Loretta Apel and husband David of Nambe and Nanette Vela of Rio Rancho;12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers: George Ortiz and wife Anita of Santa Fe, Tito Ortiz and wife JoAnn of Santa Fe; sister, Mary Lou Romero and husband Atanacio of Cuyamungue; numerous nieces, nephews & other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe del Valle de Pojoaque Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe del Valle de Pojoaque Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be: Phillip Duran, Chad Muxlow, Kevin Muxlow, Mario Salazar, George Ortiz, Phillip Duran Jr., Dante McMickens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Beatrice Duran name to PMS Hospice Service, 1400 Chama – Santa Fe, NM 87505 or to the Blaze Christian Fellowship, 6 Bisbee Ct. – Santa Fe, NM 87508.
