Barbara J. Age - 48 - Española Martinez

Barbara J. Martinez, 48, a resident of Española passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was one of the sweetest loving and compassionate lady that God put on this earth. She loved her children with all her heart. Barbara was the greatest grandmother that her grandchildren could ever ask for and a sister like no other. She was always willing to lend a helping hand even if it meant she would be without. She was our hero that taught us so much in life, and fought a fight so brave and strong. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilario M. Martinez (Larry) and Clara E. Martinez; grandparents: Celestino and Refugito S. Espinoza and Hilario and Veronica G. Martinez; god-father, Ubaldo DeVargas. Barbara is survived by her daughters: Christina C. Garcia and companion Ricardo Garcia, Claire F. Garcia and companion Donald Esquibel; son, Fabian N. Garcia; father of her children, Fabian Garcia; grandchildren: Julian and Alicia Herrera, Peter Velarde V and Annika Esquibel; sister/brother: Darby and Randy Rendon; niece, Brandy Lee and husband Samuel Lopez; great-nephews: Caleb and Matias Lopez; god-mother, Sara Montoya; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be: Brandy Lee, Caleb and Matias.
