BARBARA A. NUTTER, 86, a resident of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Blanche Adee; sisters, JoAnne Sterling, Marilyn McDaniel and brothers, Lawrence and Victor Adee. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very active in her community. She was a scout leader for many years. Barbara taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was secretary to the music department with the high school and participated in many of their trips. One of her passions was reading and doing puzzles. She taught her children how to love to read. When she had time she worked in her flower garden. Barbara will be remembered for her creative talents in sewing, quilting and needle work. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Nutter is survived by her husband, Murlin J. Nutter of Los Alamos; daughter, Suzi Saint and husband Rod and their children, Jeff and Will Saint all of Willow Park, Texas; daughter, Judy Davis and husband R.B. and their children, Stacy Cantrell and husband Justin of Gilbert, Arizona, great-grandson, Max; and son, David; daughter, Nancy Yonkers and husband Rob and their children, Mike and Tim of Springfield, VA; brothers-in-law, George McDaniel of Bailey, CO and Harold Snyder of Topeka, Kansas and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Church in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Church in Los Alamos. The family of Barbara A. Nutter has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
