Augustine Age - 87 - Alcalde Edmonds

Augustine Edmonds, 87, a resident of Alcalde passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Alcalde and El Guique. He retired from the Zia Company in Los Alamos. He was a kind gentle loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the casino. Augustine was preceded in death by his wife, Adeliada Edmonds; son, Steven Edmonds; granddaughter, Christina Guillen; grandson, Julian Gonzales. Augustine is survived by his children: Maxine Guillen and husband Richard of Alcalde, Patricia Sisneros and husband Tomas of Cuyamungue, Beverly Gonzales and husband Lee of El Guique, Leroy Casados of El Guique; daughter-in-law, Eileen Edmonds of El Guique; brothers: Riley Edmonds and wife Ernestine of Alcalde, Eddie Edmonds and wife Elvira of Alcalde; sisters: Fela Guillen and husband Martin of Alcalde, Susie Lopez and husband Henry of Alcalde and Virginia Edmonds of California; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews & other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at San Miguel Cemetery in El Guique with the following serving as pallbearers: Miguel Guillen, Wayne Edmonds, Steven Edmonds, Jr., Nelson Edmonds, Nicholas Gonzales and Carlos Sisneros.
