Audilia "Lily" C. Age - 82 - Chimay Martinez

Audilia “Lily” C. Martinez, a resident of Chimayo went home to be with our Lord and reunited with her husband at the age of 82 on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She loved flowers, and would plant flowers at any available space. She was famous for her red chili and tortillas. Audilia was preceded in death by her husband, Calletano C. Martinez; sisters: Estefanita Martinez and Sinforosa Towles; son-in-law, Albert Cordova Jr.; granddaughter, Desiree Gonzales. Audilia is survived by her children: Lorraine Chavez and husband Pete of Española, David Martinez of Chimayo, Cleo Lopez of Cordova and friend Juanito of Chimayo, Grace Cordova of Truchas, Sylvia Gonzales and husband Bobby of Española, Steve Martinez of Chimayo, Carol Quintana and husband Justin of Allison, CO, Jake and Alan Martinez of Chimayo; grandchildren: Tom and Chris Chavez, Gabriel Martinez, Lisa Squires and husband Donald, Karen Garcia and husband Fermin Jr. and Joseph Cordova, Kevin and Ryan Gonzales, Jonathan and Dara Quintana, Jacob and Kimberly Martinez; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Sabino Martinez; sisters: Carmen and Dora Martinez and Tina Padilla all of Chimayo; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a devotional to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with grandson, Pastor Kevin Gonzales and daughter Rev. Carol Quintana officiating with burial to follow at Lighthouse Cemetery. Assisting the family as pallbearers will be Tom Chavez, Chris Chavez, Gabriel Martinez, Joseph Cordova, Michael Martinez and Pat Martinez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren. The family of Audilia “Lily” C.
