Arturo “Pisaco” Cordova, 76, a resident of La Villita, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Cordova; Parents, Amabelis and Epimenia Cordova; Brothers, Adelido, Nick and wife Isabel and Bernabel Cordova; Father and mother-in-law, Luis and Frances Lopez; Sisters-in-law, Sophie Montoya, Irene Lopez and Toni Lopez; Brothers-in-law, Bon and Mino Lopez. Mr. Cordova is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sylvia Cordova; children, Michael and companion Beatrice, Kenny, Arthur and wife LuAnna. Grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Sydney, Jerome, Rhianna and soon to be born great-granddaughter, Nia. Former daughter-in-law, Eufemia Vigil. Brothers and sisters-in-law; Vivian and Lydia Lopez, Frutoso Lopez, Lela Lopez of Alcalde, Pat Lopez and Antonia Lopez of Albuquerque and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial with full Military Honors to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Michael, Kenny, Arthur, Jerome and Nathan Cordova and Urban Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Clyde Martinez, Ross Medina, Robert Martinez, Vivian Lopez and Rudy Cordova; granddaughters Rhianna and Sydney Cordova and Jessica Martinez; God-daughters, Iris Rivera and RoxAnne Lopez; special nieces, Patsy, Yvonne, Mandy, Mae Ann, Emily, Denise and nephew Andrew.
