\r\nARTURO VIGIL, 81, a resident of Chimayo, was born on June 10, 1932 and was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 17, 2013 surrounded by his family. Arturo was married to Gregoria Vigil and had 3 children and 4 wonderful step-children. He lived life to the fullest. Arturo was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Maria Vigil; parents, Jose Domingo and Amista Vigil; sisters, Adelia Trujillo and Roselia Martinez; brother, Juan D. Vigil, Levie Vigil and son, Sammy Vigil. Mr. Vigil worked in Los Alamos and was a member of the Union #16 for 50 years. Mr. Vigil is survived by his wife, Gregoria Vigil; son, Albert Vigil and companion Linda of Chimayo; daughters, Helen Bustos and husband Lawrence and Ruby Maes all of Española; brother, Carlos Vigil and wife Rosina of El Llano; step-children, Orlando and wife Tonia of El Llano, Randy of Chimayo, Sylvia and companion Timoteo and Geraldine Baca and companion Lucas all of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony Chacon and Mary Lou, Johnny Chacon, Raymond Chacon, Eddie Chacon and Pablita, Leo Garcia and Carol, Loraine and companion Jim and LeRoy Herrera and Lenora and numerous grandchildren Sammy Jr., Michael, Gabriel and companion Amy, Charles Vigil and companion Nicole, Yvonne Calver and husband Marce, Ashley Sandoval and husband AJ, Lawrence Bustos Jr., 16 great-grandchildren, Yvette Vigil-DeVargas special niece for her supporting us during this difficult time of need, and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 6:00p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Orlando Chacon, Randy Baca, Yvette DeVargas, Randy Baca, Jr., Gabriel Archuleta and Lorenzo Bustos. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Larry DeVargas, LeeRoy, Lenera, Dylan and Eleeolt Herrera. The family of Arturo Vigil has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
