Arthur Valdez

Arthur Michael Valdez Jr. 41, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away and entered Heaven’s eternal light on Sunday, December 6, 2015.   Art, as he was known by his many close and dear friends and Michael by his loving family was born to Arthur Valdez and Viola Ortega on April 2, 1974.  He was preceded in death by his little angel, Jacqueline Esperanza, grandparents Ramon and Lorenzita Ortega and leaves behind three wonderful children, Angelique (Shorty), Ramon (Mon), Santos (Boy) and three very special step-children Dennis Lovato, Kristen and Spc. David Sisneros.  Family or familia was the most important thing to Arthur and he instilled that attribute in all his kids.  Art was also owner of Precision Modular Installations and in a remarkably short time, developed his company’s reputation based on honesty, integrity, creativity and lots of hard work.  He had a keen eye for perfection and his work reflected that.  Arthur loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding his Harley and especially enjoyed taking his sons hunting and fishing or just being out in the mountains sharing those unforgettable experiences and creating memories with them.  Arthur is also survived by the love of his life, his wife Christiana, parents Arthur and Viola, little brother Vince, grandparents Emilio and Rita Valdez and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved and who loved him. A rosary will be recited on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community in Santa Fe, with a Memorial mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. The family of Arthur Valdez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477 – www.devargasfuneral.com
