Arsenio (Archie) Age - 84 El Guache Sisneros

Arsenio (Archie) Sisneros, Age 84, a resident of El Guache, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011. He grew up in Tierra Azul and attended school in Abiquiu and joined the United States Army serving at Camp Georgia. He returned to New Mexico and went to work in Chama at the Saw Mill then worked as a potato farmer in Colorado. Arsenio then returned to New Mexico where he met & married the love of his life, Josephine Maestas, continuing his work as a potato farmer. Then went on to work as a roofer, Arsenio and Josephine raised their 8 children together. He also worked as a truck driver, postal service and a contract driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwardo and Eulemia Sisneros; brother, Joe Sisneros; sisters, Lita Jones, Benes Graham; grandson, Davey Sisneros; daughter-in-law, Lourdes Maestas; sons, Joe Sisneros and Freddie Sisneros. Arsenio is survived by his wife, Josephine of El Guache; children: Isaac Maestas of Hernandez, Roy Maestas and wife Marsha of Española, Doris Sisneros of El Llano, Betty Sisneros of Santa Fe, Desiree Romero and husband Andrew of Las Vegas, Nevada, Allen Archie Sisneros and wife Nancy of El Duende and Johnny Sisneros and wife Gerrie of El Guache; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez.
