Arnold Arnie Alire, 66, a resident of Amalia, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Alice Alire; nieces, Brittney Alire and Melanie Archuleta. Arnold was a carpenter and loved riding his Harley motorcycles and working on his 1957 Chevy cars. He loved being back in Northern New Mexico in the beautiful valley of Amalia that he called home. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Elena Alire; children, Brian Alire (Kisha), Melissa Gonzales, Carlos Alire (Kimi), Natalie Mendoza (Devon), and Angela Gonzales; grandchildren, Little B, Gabby, Cheyanne, Diaz, Annika, Brooklyn, Aspen, Alex, Max, Gavin, and Mildred; great-grandchildren, Baby B, and Jon Jon; siblings, Karla Flores (Mark), Connie Selby, Cathy Guerrero (Hank), Arlene Vigil (Leo), and Ymelda Alire, along with many nieces, nephew, relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Santo Nino Catholic Church in Amalia with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Amalia Cemetery. The family of Arnold Arnie Alire has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
