Armando Jose Romero, born on October 27, 1984, passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 40. His life was a testament to hard work, love for family, and a passion for the outdoors.
Armando was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Flora Romero and Manuel and Connie Martinez; and his Aunt Arlene, Aunt Julia, Aunt Frances, Uncle Archie, Cousin John, and Cousin Danny.
He is survived by his loving parents, Charles and Barbra Romero; his brother, Abel Romero; and his sister, Arlene Trujillo, along with her husband, Larry Trujillo. He also leaves behind his nephews, Jeremy ‘Jethro’ (Audreana) Trujillo, Joseph (Kaylee) Trujillo, Jacob Trujillo, and his niece, Maelynn Trujillo. In Colorado, NM, Washington, His Uncle Pete (Peturnia) Romero, Auntie Dolores (T om Burke), Auntie Annabelle Briggs, Auntie Donna Romero, Uncle Ruben (Irene) Romero, Auntie Veronica (Arnold) Garcia; Followed by numerous cousins. Armando’s memory will be cherished by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who held a special place in his heart.
Armando found joy in hunting, fishing, and welding. He worked alongside his father in the mobile home moving business and later established a successful septic tank pumping company, earning the respect of his community through his dedication and integrity. He also found fulfillment in serving his church, where he enjoyed running the sound booth during services. His contributions reflected his dedication to his faith and his desire to support his church family in any way he could. He also had a passion for cooking, especially perfecting the art of smoking meat, which he loved sharing with family and friends during gatherings.
A funeral service to honor and Celebrate Armando’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Viewing at 10:00 AM, Funeral at 11:00 a.m., at Valley Bible Baptist Church (56 Arroyo Seco Circle, Española, NM 87532).
Armando’s legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and a deep love for his family and friends. His presence will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
