Armando Lujan was a resident of Nambe, NM, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Armando Lujan was born July 13, 1945. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Eloy Lujan and Vicenta Ortiz Lujan of Nambe NM, sister Darlene Lujan, Brothers Eloy Lujan Jr., Joe (Sharon) Lujan and Federico Lujan and special nephew Adrian Ortiz. Brother-in-laws, Gene Sandoval, Lino B. Ortiz Sr., Mariano Gonzales, Joe Medrano (Rosina), Frank Medrano (Gloria), and David Medrano, Sister-in-laws Carmen Ortiz, Carol Medrano.

He is survived by his loving wife Florinda Lujan who would have been celebrating their 59th Wedding anniversary on Feb. 20, 2025, children Ella Herrera (David), Patricia (Patsy) Lujan, and Mando Lujan (Yvette), grandchildren Richard Herrera (Englenn), Miguel Herrera, Anna Branch Lujan, and Amoriah Roybal Pacheco. Great granddaughter Raelynn Herrera. God children Jason Ebelacker and Jared Griego. Brothers: Charlie Lujan (Marlene), Ronald Lujan (Geri). Sisters: Miranda Ortiz, Helen Lujan, Edna Maes (Eddie), Ivy Hyde (Roy). Brother-in-laws: Louie Medrano (Barbara), Richard Medrano (Carole), Sisters-in-law: Angie Garcia (Willie), Sophie Gonzales, Rosemary Medrano, Close friend- Carmen Branch, and many nieces and nephews.

His expanding career of 59 yrs. of being an electrician and owner of Mando’s Electric Company after working in Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was a parishioner of the Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe Parish an active member of the S.P.M.D.T.U. Councilo #57, Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Local Union IBEW 611. Sponsor of many youths’ athletic teams of Pojoaque Valley.

Armando enjoyed going fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, and traveling with many family members and friends. He was a very generous and giving to anyone that would ask for a hand or out of his own kind heart.

The family members of Armando would like to give special thanks to the following: his brothers and sisters of the S.P.M.D.T.U. Concilio #57-Nambe for the farewell address. Special thanks to the Presbyterian Emergency Room staff and Drs. in Espanola, Giving Home Health Care and nurse Belinda Wodjiho and his primary Drs. for the care they gave Armando during his illness. Father Sebastian for being there for us by doing the anointing of the sick prayer and Ronald Lujan for a prayer of the (Chaplet of Devine Mercy) (Last Sacraments prayers) at the hospital. Father Prieto for the beautiful mass. To John Valdez for doing the rosary. Geri Lujan for the readings, David Ortiz for the eulogy. Charlie, Marlene, and Ronald Lujan for the music. Special thanks to Yvette Zarate for the slide show.

 A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 9:30 am at Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe Catholic Church of Pojoaque Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am. A private burial will take place at a later date.
