\r\nARMANDO MARTINEZ, 100, a resident of Peñasco, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013. Armando was born on May 13, 1913. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Martinez; son, Robert Martinez; and grandson who he helped raise, George Donkersley. Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Ramona Valerio and husband Derek Workman and Evangeline Donkersley all of Albuquerque, Connie P. Martinez and Victor Martinez and wife Barbara all of Peñasco, Rosa Diaz and husband Chris and Lydia S. Collins and husband Mike Ewens all of California; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Peñasco. Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Peñasco. The family of Armando Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
