Arabella A. Jiron, 90, a resident of Pojoaque and beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother was welcomed into heaven on Friday, July 20, 2018 with her family by her side. Arabella was preceded in death by her parents, Estevan and Rebecca Archuleta and daughter, Sharon Lujan. A Pojoaque graduate, Arabella worked for the Veteran’s Service and retired from the Pojoaque Valley Schools in 1991. She was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters and was a volunteer for many years at the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Church. She was a loving, caring woman of service who cared for her mother, children and grandchildren all her life. In 1960, Arabella married Juan Jiron, and for 58 years their love and faith was a beautiful example to all that knew them. She loved to sew, bake, garden, read and travel to wherever her kids lived. She enjoyed celebratory gatherings and the holidays with friends and family. Arabella is survived by her husband, Juan; children, Carmelina Anderson, Paula Ewy (Sean) and James Jiron (Antionette); ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and siblings, Leo Archuleta, Emma Herrera and Frances Gallegos. Special thanks to Jacqueline Archuleta and Ambercare staff, Carmen Salazar, Emily Skelton and Tiffany Di Marco for all the compassion and care they provided in her final months. A rosary will be recited on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Pojoaque Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jimmy Anderson, Estevan Lujan, Andrew Lujan, Jonathan Jiron, Catherine Jiron, Jason Sweeney, Carmelina Gibson, Dominik Anderson, Coby Anderson, Megan Arabella Ewy and Devon Ewy.
