\r\n \r\nAquilino Baca, 78, a resident of Canjilon passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Aquilino was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Gumicinda Baca; son, Aquilino Teresito Baca, Brothers, Filigonio Baca, Enrique Baca Jr., sisters, Bernardita Gallegos, and Solome Manzanares; Daughter in-law, Doreen Baca. Mr. Baca cherished his family extensively he always had an open door and an open heart to anyone who came his way, his love for his wife was endless and unconditional. He created a tradition by starting the day with morning cafecito with everyone around that is still carried out today. He was an active and faithful member of La Confradia de Nuestro Padre Jesus, whom along with his family he dedicated his life to. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Mr. Baca is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Dolores Baca; children, Jose Ismael Sandoval Jr., Eileen Gallegos (Gilbert), Bertha Baca, Susanna Trujillo (Andres), Stephen Baca (Angela), Barbara Montaño (James), Deluvina Martinez (Eloy), Kathy Gallegos (Henry), Audra Romero (Ricardo), Aquilino “KiKi” Baca, Carmen Pino (Gary), raised as his own children, Amanda Emery (Justin), Tina Velasquez, and Paul Baca (Amalia); sisters, Fabolia Sandoval, Adela Martinez, and Sabinita Archuleta (Manuel), 30 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren, plus numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilon. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilon, with a burial to follow at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Cemetery in Canjilon, with the following serving as pallbearers, Jamie Martinez, Ramos Baldonado, Adrian Trujillo, Abraham Baca, Trinadad Montano, Santiago Martinez, Timothy Gallegos, and David Baca, honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Aquilino Baca has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
