Antonio "Tony" Age -88 - Santa Cruz Herrera

Antonio “Tony” Herrera, 88, a lifelong resident of Santa Cruz passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife Eremita Herrera; parents, Sixto Herrera and Maria Antonita Martinez; brothers: Sergio, Joe and Raymond and sisters: Lina and Annie. Antonio is survived by his sister, Cordelia Maestas of Denver, CO; daughters: Jennie Herrera of Santa Fe, JoAnn Herrera of Santa Cruz, Joyce Deck and husband David of Española; sons: Lorenzo Herrera of Roswell, Michael Herrera of California, Arthur Herrera of California, Toby Herrera and wife Rosie of Santa Fe, Chris Herrera and girlfriend Kristin of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Lavine Otto and husband Michael of Phoenix, Joshua Espinoza, Annabell, Jeffery, Tomasita and Sandra; great-grandchildren: Jonas, Trinity, Cyrus, Deegan, Stephen, Jacob, Hannah, Jonathan, Erin, Max, and Kataleena Jo’Ann; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chris Herrera, Josh Espinoza, Manuel Pizano Jr., Ed Martinez, Joe Vigil, Andres Martinez; honorary pallbearers: David Deck and Jonas Killenbeck.
