ANTONIO ROMO, 48, a resident of Taos, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eustacio and Carolina Romo and Felix Archuleta; father and mother-in-law, Manuel and Priscilla Martinez. Mr. Romo is survived by his wife of 29 years Peggy Romo; children, Renee and Antonio Romo; Parents Antonio and Roberta Romo; siblings, Manuel Maestas, Gina Romo (Andrew), Chris Romo (Gen), Andrea Martinez (Ted) and Michael Romo; grandmother, Elvira Archuleta; God-parents, Larry and Elena Hendricksen; uncle, Manny Archuleta (Allison); brothers and sisters-in-law, Mannie Valdez (Johnny), Flora Archuleta (Orlando), Francisco Martinez (Pam), David Martinez (Roxanne), Mark Martinez and Carlos Martinez (Reynita); God-daughter, Elena Espinoza; God-son, Isaiah Romo; special friends, Herman and Susie, Paul and Claireen Espinoza, Harrison James, Douglas Crumley and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Antonio worked at Phoenix Mechanical for 29 years as a plumber. He loved and enjoyed being in the outdoors, loved hunting, fishing and traveling and most of all loved making friends. A devotional service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Grace Brethren Church in Cañon. Memorial service will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Grace Brethren Church in Cañon. Burial will take place at the Los Cordovas Cemetery in Taos at a later date. Reception to follow at El Taoseño Restaurant.
