ANTONIO “TONY” GARCIA, 94, a resident of Dixon, passed away very peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delfido and Rafaelita Garcia; sisters, Cecilia Diaz, Regina Edmonds and brother, Elias Garcia. He was a World War II Veteran. He was a “jack of all trades”. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Eloisa Archuleta Garcia; children, Anthony (Marilyn), Rafaelita (Rudy), Isabel, Luella (Lee) and Patty (Tommy); brother, Willie Garcia; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Anthony, Tony, Christina and Delfido Gallegos, Monique Garcia and Christopher Romero. Honorary pallbearers named are, Anthony Garcia (son), Jerry Archuleta, Rudy Gallegos, Lee Valdez, Tommy Montoya, Nelson Edmonds, Johnny Vigil and Celeste Edwards Garcia.
