Antonio Valdez

ANTONIO J. VALDEZ, 24, a resident of Chamita, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 following a car accident. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Elena Valdez and grandfather, Jose A. Gallegos. Mr. Valdez is survived by his son, Jerome A. Valdez of Chamita; mother, Rosalie Sandy Gallegos and companion Paul Tapia of Española; father, Joey A. Valdez of Chamita; step-father, Ramon Gallegos of El Rancho; brothers and sister, Juanito and Andres Valdez both of Española and Savanah Martinez of Velarde; partner, Martina Aguino of San Juan; grandparents, Ralph and Josie Valdez of Chamita and Tony L. and Mary Martinez of Ranchitos; great-grandmother, Ruth Lucero of Chamita and grandmother, Lia Gallegos of El Rancho and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita with the following serving as pallbearers, Lee Pacheco, James, Tommy and Tony Martinez, Andrew Valdez, Ivan Mendez, Eric Valdez, Jr. and Christopher Valdez. Honorary pallbearers named, Megan Martinez, Tiffany Pacheco, and Alisha Valdez and Carlos Martinez. The family of Antonio J. Valdez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
