Antonio "Tony" Gallegos, age 79, has risen with the Lord on September 25, 2016. Antonio was born in La Madera, NM on December 7, 1936. He was a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 55 years and retired from the Keebler Company after more than 30 years. He loved to spend time with his sons and grandsons getting, chopping and stacking firewood and hunting. He spent a lot of time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He really loved his annual trips to the NASCAR Races in Las Vegas with Ray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose Gallegos and his son David Gallegos.
Tony leaves behind his wife, Susan; his loving children, Rick and wife Michele, Kathy Moya and husband Johnny, Ray and wife Marcella, Michael and wife LaDonna; grandchildren, Jeana Rae Goodyear and husband Jerry, Nadine Moya and Ray Martinez. David Gallegos, Robert Gallegos, Johnny Moya Jr., Thomas Gallegos, Vanessa Gallegos, Diego Gallegos, Yleana Gallegos, Marcos Gallegos, and Emiliano Gomez; great-grandchildren, Antonio Moya, Santana Martinez, Audrina and Jacob Goodyear; brother, Isidoro and wife Emilia; sisters Marina Trujillo and husband Juan, Edith Herrera and husband Diego, Tila Velarde, Alma Trujillo and husband Ralph; numerous Godchildren, nieces and nephews. Tony will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
A special Thanks to all the staff at UNM that took such good care of him.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at St. Therese of the Little Flower Church, 300 Mildred, where a Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. A second Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at La Morada de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in La Madera. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at La Morada de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in La Madera, NM. Interment will follow at La Madera Cemetery.
