Antonia M. Velasquez 76, a resident of Pinavetal went to be with our Lord on July 27, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her son Wayne Velasquez; granddaughters, Andrea and Stephanie Velasquez; parents Felix and Josefa Martinez; In laws Tony and Carlota Velasquez; brothers Aurelio Martinez, Max Martinez, Timoteo Martinez, and Alberto Martinez, sister Romela Gallegos; sisters in law, Beverly Martinez, Lucy Lovato, Angelica Anderson and Josefina Velasquez; brothers in law, Johnny Velasquez, Leo Velasquez, Andres Lovato, and Roy Harron; close cousins Medardo Garcia, Freddie and Sylvia Marker
Antonia was known to many as a gentle loving, hard working lady who loved her family dearly. Her husband Rudy, and son’s Norris, Earl, Wayne, Rudy Jr. and Dennis and grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and the loved she expressed was always so warming and welcoming. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Antonia is survived by her husband of 58 years Rudy Velasquez; son’s Norris Velasquez and wife Nieves, Earl Velasquez, Rudy Velasquez Jr. and wife Missy, and Dennis Velasquez and wife Audrey; grandchildren, Tony Velasquez (Bernadette), Ben Velasquez (Jessica), Denise Velasquez, Bernadette Pohl (Eddie), Eric Velasquez, Nicole Velasquez (Jeremy), DJ Velasquez, and Mateo Velasquez and 5 great-grandchildren; sister Cloudina Harron; sister’s in law Rosel Martinez, Olivama Martinez, Rosa (Chata) and husband Freddie Jaramillo, Anita Velasquez, Debra Velasquez; brothers in law Merijildo Velasquez and Carlos Gallegos. Close friends Benito Morfin and Ramona Morfin and Debra Jaramillo Wheeler and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A public visitation will be on Friday August 4, 2023 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of De Vargas Funeral Home at 12:00 pm, and a Devotional service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be on Saturday August 5, 2023 at 11:00am at family cemetery in Pinavetal.
