ANTONIA “TONI” QUINTANA, a resident of San Pedro, passed away of a short illness on Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan I. Quintana; granddaughter, Razelle Velez; parents, Gregorio and Honorata Mondragon; sisters, Roberta A. Mondragon, Rose N. Martinez and Loretta Montoya. Antonia loved embroidering, cooking and was a dedicated catholic. She was also dedicated to The Carmelita’s. She was a kind and loving women who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Fabian Quintana, and Lanora Velez; granddaughter, Iliana Velez; brother, Gabriel Mondragon and wife Helen, sister, Lucinda Archuleta; Godson, Matthew Maes; brother-in-law, Joseph Montoya; niece, Bobbi Duran and husband Mike and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with the burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Greg Mondragon, Leonard Martinez, Jeremy Stricklan, Glen Archuleta, Anthony Maes, and Jonny Montoya.  The family of Antonia “Toni” Quintana has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
