Antonia Garcia

ANTONIA O. GARCIA, 77, a resident of Espanola, formerly of Canoñes was called home after a short illness, surrounded by family on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Antonia was preceded in death by her parents, Emiliano and Angelica Aragon; daughter, Judith Garcia; in-laws, Isabel and Genoveva Garcia; sister, Elsie Madrid and son-in-law, Joseph L. Cata.  Antonia was an avid cook, her faith in God was strong, leaving a pathway for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to follow. Her love was shown every day through her strength and her Godly influence. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.   Antonia is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Elipio G. Garcia Sr; children, Brenda Salazar, Geneva Miera (Pastor JD), Angela Cata-Baca (Stephen), Antonette  Villareal (Doyle), Edith Madrid (Harold), Elipio Garcia Jr. (Janel), Neomi Garcia. Raised as her own, Briana Martinez and Derrick Salazar (Stephanie). Grandchildren, Gavin and Cameron Cata, Ashley Miera (Pancho), Candace Rivera (Tony), Elipio Isaiah, Jeremiah and LillyAnna Garcia, and Lexus and Hannah Salazar; great-grandchildren, Santiago Martinez, Jude, Nazarene, and Silas Salazar, Adalyn Miera;  siblings, Alfonso Aragon (Norma), Roman Aragon (Lorraine), and Vitalia Chacon and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. also at Victory Faith Church, with a burial to follow at Loma Vista Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Jeremiah Garcia, Cameron Cata, Gavin Cata, Santiago Martinez, Facundo Madrid, and Amos Garcia, honorary pallbearers, will be all her granddaughters.
