Anthony G. “Tuffy” Lopez, 67, a resident of Española passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Mr. Lopez was a Navy Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam, he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. He enjoyed fishing, camping & the outdoors and taking care of his nephews and nieces. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Ruby Lopez; brother, Floyd Lopez; grandparents, Mariano and Adelida Cordova, Juan and Maxine Martinez; niece, Antoinette Martinez; nephews: Ricky Roybal and Miguel Bustos. He is survived by his aunts: Florinda Atencio and Ursula Cordova; sisters: Priscilla Martinez of Penasco and Gloria Bustos of Grants; brothers: Richard Lopez of El Llano, Gerold Lopez and wife Yolanda of Española; nieces & nephews: Melissa Martinez, Vanessa Bowser, Tony Joe Roybal, Ruby Roybal, Greg Roybal, Pauline Baca, Cathy Lopez, Maxine Lopez, Richie Lopez, Annette Gonzales, Cindy Lopez, Mario Lopez, Juan Lopez, Pauline Erivez and husband Alex, Timothy Lopez and wife Tina, Gerald Lopez and wife Donna, Mark Lopez and wife Crystal; many cousins & friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Anthony G.
