Anthony Valdez

Anthony David Valdez, 22, a resident of Cebolla, N.M., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.  Anthony was a great person with an amazing personality.  He was always willing to lend a hand and be there when you needed him.  He was always happy and cheerful.  We will miss him and his smile forever.  He was preceded in death by his step-father Ben Cordova, step-brothers Benny and Brandon Cordova, and cousin Erika Mendez.  He is survived by his father Anthony Valdez of Cebolla;  mother Monica Cordova of Ensenada; brother Lucas Cordova and sisters Antoinette Valdez and Anjolene Cordova of Ensenada;  paternal grandparents Tony & Teddie Valdez of Canjilon; maternal grandparents Delfin & Sylvia Mercure of Los Brazos;  seven nephews and one niece; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.  Serving as pallbearers are Lucas Cordova, Kenneth Mercure, Gabriel Mercure, Manuel Valdez, Jose Sotelo, Justin Valdez and Jerome Martinez.  A public visitation will take place at 6:00 PM, on Sunday, November 29th at Victory Faith Church in Espanola with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Jimmy Martinez officiating. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Victory Faith Church in Espanola with Pastor JD Miera officiating. Burial to follow at the Cebolla Cemetery.  The family of Anthony David Valdez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
