Anthony W. Trujillo ‘’Hawk’’ 51, was welcomed into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father Seledon R Trujillo; sister Edna Marie Elva Trujillo, and Angel Chrystyne Trujillo.

He was born January 30, 1968 in Las Cruces, NM. He was a 1986 graduate from Pojoaque Valley Highschool. He served his country in the United States Marines Corps (USMC), and always carried the pride and devotion to the USMC motto, ‘’Semper Fidelis.”  He worked for the City of Espanola for 19 years as a Street Operations Supervisor/Emergency Management, was a volunteer Fire Fighter, and retired from Los Alamos County as a Street Maintenance Superintendent in March of 2019.  Hawk was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone around him. He was a hardworking man of God who often volunteered with his local church with the youth group, teaching defense classes and working as armed security for his church. He enjoyed going to the shooting range, the gym was his life, and family meant everything to him. There was no greater love than the love he had for his children and everyone who knew him knew what they meant to him. Hawk was always there to help family and friends with projects or with whatever else people needed him for. Hawk will be missed for his encouragements, humor, jokes, and most importantly the love he gave.

He is survived by his mother; Josephine Trujillo and stepfather Billy Law, his children Michael, Alyssa, Daniel, Angelica, and Yazmine; grandchildren, Kaily, Jazzlynn, and Matthew; sister, Michelle Trujillo-Ojeda (Miguel) of Santa Fe; special niece, Jolyn Trujillo (Andy) of Los Alamos, Elizabeth McDuffie (Kyle) of Rio Rancho, Selina Herrera of Albuquerque, Victoria Garcia and Anna Marie Herrera; nephews, Nicky Garcia and Christopher Garcia of Chimayo; great-nephew Alijah Trujillo; great-niece Anaiyah Trujillo; and many other special extended relatives and friends that he cherished.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers during this time. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 form 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery time and dater are pending but will be posted as soon as it becomes available. The family of Anthony W.
