ANTHONY B. MARTINEZ, 55, a resident of Cordova, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Alicia Martinez; nephews, Michael Martinez Jr. and Francisco Martinez. Grandparents, Miguel and Adelaida Sandoval, and Apolonio and Celestina Martinez; father-in-law, Max Lujan and sister-in-law, Vasti Martinez. Anthony was a case manager for people with physical and mental disabilities for 25 years. He was a manager at the Espanola Allsups for a period of time. He loved watching his son, Antonio “Tone” Martinez box and spending time with his daughter Jan, and her daughters. Anthony is survived by his wife, Lynette Lujan-Martinez; son, Antonio “Tone” Martinez (Claudia) of Hernandez, daughter, Janice Ortiz (Lenny) of Chimayo; granddaughters, Jenessa and Leticia Ortiz; siblings, Robert Martinez, Berlina Ramirez both of Albuquerque, Clyde Martinez (Della) of Espanola, Michael Martinez (Sandra) of Cordova, Tommy Martinez of Cordova; mother-in-law, Melita Lujan (Eloy Martinez) of El Guique, and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Family Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the Cordova Cemetery. Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be his siblings, brother-in-law, Jason Martinez, and Javier Diaz.
