Annie E. - age 65 - La Puebla Serna

Annie E. Serna, 65, a resident of La Puebla, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2014, surrounded by her family. Annie was born at the family home in La Puebla, on January 21, 1949. She was a life-long member of Holy Cross Parish in Santa Cruz. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Martinez; father, Victoriano Martinez de Vigil; brother, Victoriano Martinez, Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Felix and Rita Serna. Mrs. Serna is survived by her husband, Samuel Serna; daughter, Rita and husband Michael Archuleta and their children, AnnaLee and Amarissa; sons, Sammy Anthony Serna and his son, Adrian and Andres Serna and fiancé Nancy and their sons, Isaiah and Devon; sister, Ercilia Brazil; brothers, Harold and wife Ramita Martinez and Bennie Martinez; sister-in-law, Debra and husband Pat Borrego and their daughter Elisa; God-children, Jolene Vigil, Marisa Brazil and Adam Martinez and numerous other nieces, nephews, God-children and other relatives and friends. The family will like to give gratitude to Ambercare staff and Addus Healthcare staff and all the family and friends for all your thoughts, prayers, visits, and all your generosity. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with a Mass of Catholic burial to be celebrated immediately following the rosary at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Ricardo Martinez, Victor James, Adam, Justin, Jason and Ryan Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be, Alejandro Martinez and Adrian Vigil. The family of Annie E. Serna has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
