ANNETTE R. TORRES, 50, a resident of Cañones, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Moya; sister, Debra Medina; nephew raised like a brother, Johnny Torres. Annette was a loving wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was quite a jokester, but if she had to speak her mind she didn’t hold back. Whether you liked what she had to say or not. In her spare time she enjoyed weaving and loved to cook. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Torres is survived by her husband, Levi R. Lucero of Cañones; children, Denisa Ochoa of Albuquerque, Sophia Ochoa and companion Carlos of Cañones and Phillip Ochoa and companion Natasha of Farmington; mother, Sadie Moya of Abiquiu; brothers and sisters, Anthony Torres and wife Debbie of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lorenzo Torres and wife Rosalee of Denver, CO, Carmen Lopez and husband Frankie of Abiquiu, Opolonia Abeyta and husband Richard of Salt Lake City, Utah, Delvin Garcia and wife Sarah of Abiquiu, Loretta Torres and companion Tony of Abiquiu and Kenneth “Dean” Moya and companion Joy of Abiquiu and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu, with a burial to follow at the Abiquiu Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be all her nieces and nephews. The family of Annette R. Torres has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n \r\n
