Annette Martinez

Annette L. Martinez, 48, a resident of El Duende, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2017 following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her son Victor M. Quezada; father Waldo Sr.; brothers Waldo Jr. and Victor Martinez; paternal and maternal grandparents; in-laws Apuleyo and Sixta Quezada; and brother-in-law Nathan Lovato. Annette had a love for her horses, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved being with her grandchildren. She also worked for Wal-Mart for 29 years. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband of 34 years Tomas Quezada; sons Juan (Melinda) Quezada and Tomas Apuleyo Quezada Jr.; mother Beatrice Abeyta; sister Stephanie Martinez; grandchildren Jaylynn, Jalinna and Apuleyo; niece and nephews Tara (David), Nathan, Waldo (Sonya) and family, Andres (Roberta) and family; special aunt Benerita Martinez; god-mother Mabel Martinez; special friend Laurie Cobb and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo.
