\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Anna M. Lujan, 63, went with the Lord Monday, March 22, 2010 peacefully after an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. Born in Taos, she grew up in Pueblo, CO and was a long time resident of Embudo. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Eliseo Garcia. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, J.P. Lujan, her loving son, Juan Carlo and his wife, Nicole, two grandchildren, Ashley and Nicolas and a special nephew, Marcial, all who were her pride and joy. Other survivors include her mother; Raquel Garcia, sisters: Erlinda (Mike) Finn, Cecilia (Bruce) Abo, brothers: Joe E. (Teresa) Garcia and Donald (Patsy) Garcia; two sisters-in-law, Naomi Salazar and Lillian (George) Garcia, one brother-in-law, J.O. (Helen) Lujan and many nephews and nieces whom she adored. Family was primary for Anna and she will be greatly missed each and every day. A retired educator of over 30 years for the Taos Municipal Schools, she served as a High School Teacher, Principal and Assistant Superintendent and as Professor of English at the UNM Taos branch. She recently served as a School Improvement Specialist with the Northern New Mexico Network for Rural Education, bringing instructional services to children in rural communities. Rosary will be recited Sunday, April 4 at 7:00 PM and Mass on Monday, April 5 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, in Taos, NM. Private family burial will take place at a later date. \r\n
