Annabelle Romero

Annabelle J. Romero, 57, a resident of Cordova, NM, a long-time beautician, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her son Adam Romero and her father Charles O. Romero.

Annabelle is survived by her mother Ermelinda Romero, her children Jeremy Tyler Lopez and Isaiah Lopez; father of her children, Jerome Lopez (Kathy); her brothers and sisters, Patty Trujillo (Nick); Charlene Trujillo (Orlando); Clyde Romero (Veda); Larry Romero (Myrna); Mark Romero (Jessica); Joseph Romero (Crystal); Timothy Romero, and Johnny Sandoval (Melanie).  She is also survived by many close nephews/nieces, cousins, family and friends.

She worked for over 30 years as a skilled beautician, where she developed lifelong friendships and bonds with numerous people during her time in the beauty shop. She enjoyed planting beautiful flowers and took great pleasure in making her house a home for her and her boys, but nothing brought her the most joy than cooking breakfast for them and her brothers. Annabelle will also be remembered for her compassionate and giving nature in opening her home to anyone in need. She always took great pride in her appearance and had a laugh that would bring a smile to your face.

Public visitation will begin on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 6:30 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM, with a Devotional Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 10:00 am, also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Assembly of God Cemetery in Cordova, NM.

Honoring the family as pallbearers are Clyde Romero, Larry Romero, Mark Romero, Joseph Romero, Timmy Romero, and Johnny Sandoval.  Honorary Pallbearers are her best friends Cindy Vigil, Pita Vigil, Sandra Gurule, Rachel Valencia, and Judith Trujillo.
