Anita - Age 86 - Ojo Caliente - Martinez

ANITA MARTINEZ, 86, a resident of Ojo Caliente, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and tia Anita passed into eternal life on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Teofila Martinez; sisters, Celina and Cora; her children, Melba, Vickie and Joseph; her daughter-in-law, Kathy and her granddaughter, Victoria. Anne was a loving, caring person who welcomed all into her life and home. She enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, watching her novelas and wrestling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Abelardo of Ojo Caliente; children, Steve and wife Darlene of Española, Jimmy of Ojo Caliente, Wayne of Arizona and Linda Francisco and husband John of Española; son-in-law, Pat Sealy of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Jason and wife Brooke of Arizona, Juan and wife Jolene of Albuquerque, Jared and Joel of Ojo Caliente, Joshua and wife Nina of Rio Rancho, Scott and David of Arizona, Jessica and husband Alex of Bloomfield, and Shannon of Española; great-grandchildren, Jared Jr., Alexia, Julian, Diego, Izekial, Justin and Sophie Mae and numerous relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Burial to follow at the Ojo Caliente Catholic Cemetery. The family of Anita Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
