Angie, 78 - Espanola Hayes

Angie Hayes, 78,( Maria Angelina Erlinda Ortiz), a resident of Espanola, died peacefully on Wednesday July 17, 2013, surrounded by her family. Angie was born March 2, 1935 to Enrique and Sarita (Rodrigues) Ortiz in Santa Fe County. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Gilbert Gordon Garcia. Angie is survived by her husband of 32 years John Hayes, daughter Angela Romero and her husband Delaino Romero, step-daughters Leslie Hayes and husband Dave Rich, Rachel Hayes, step-son David Hayes, granddaughters Lily Robb, Emily Hayes-Rich and Rosie Schaefer, Grandsons Robert Naranjo, Jeffrey Naranjo, Jeremy Naranjo, Nathan Hayes-Rich, and Curtis Schaefer, Ex Husband Fidel Garcia. There will be a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 23, 2013 at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 24, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Burial of her ashes will be held later in a private ceremony. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons Robert, Jeff, and Jeremy Naranjo. The family of Angie Hayes has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
