Angelita M. Rodriguez

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Angelita M. Rodriguez, age 78, a resident of Espanola, was called to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2010. She was born in Santa Rita, NM. on July 24, 1929. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricio and Aurelia Martinez; her husband, Manuel; her infant daughter, Gloria Rodriguez and a sister, Carolina M. Romero. Angelita was employed for 2 years at the Northern New Mexico College and for the past 7 years was a resident of the Espanola Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Yolanda and husband Donald Pike of Rio Rancho; two sisters, Genevieve Martinez of Espanola and Cori M. Shannon of Las Vegas, NV; five nephews and many other relatives. A public visitation will begin on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, a rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Burial will take place at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Patricio Martinez, Johnny and Fred Romero, Nicolas Sandoval, Henry Castillo and Richard Maestas.
