ANGELA VIGIL

ANGELA ANN VIGIL , 66, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Vigil; parents, Ramon and Helen Salazar; brothers, Gilbert and Lee Salazar; in-laws, Frank and Ramona Vigil. Angela was a loving mother and grandmother, who cared, cherished and loved her family dearly, including her extended family members. She spent her life taking care of others as a R.N. and continued to do so in her later years. Angela is survived by her sons, Eric Vigil (Tammy), Matthew Vigil, and Vincent Vigil (Maureen) all of Espanola, grandsons, Eric Vigil Jr., Isaiah Vigil, John Paul Vigil, Noah Vigil, granddaughters, Mary and Leah Vigil all of Espanola; brother, Donald Salazar (Tonie) of California, sister, Stella Martinez of Espanola; sisters-in-law, Vangie Salazar of Fairview, Elizabeth Vanschaemelhout (Andy) of Belen, NM, Eleanor Vigil of Albuquerque, brothers-in-law, Joe Vigil (Ethyl) of Santa Clara and  Armando Vigil and Richard Vigil (Eliza); 7 grandchildren.  Public visitation will begin on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Gene Salazar, Rick Salazar, Elias Salazar, Eric Vigil Jr., Isaiah Vigil, and Clyde Sanchez, honorary pallbearers named will be her grandchildren and extended family from Salazar and Vigil side. The family of Angela Ann Vigil has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
