Angel Aldo Alfonso Marquez, 2 ½ months, a resident of Española, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Aldo Marquez Palacios; paternal great-grandparents, Julia Palacios and Carlos Marquez and maternal great uncle, Bryan Edmonds. We fell head over heels in love with AJ before he was born. AJ loved many things, his mommy and her breast milk, his daddy and his goofiness, his grandparents and great grandparents with their love. He loved being on the go. He would love car rides, walks in his stroller, looking up at the clouds, in his harness against his mommy’s chest, even his first train rides. He loved watching the dogs run around and play. He loved the cat Edgar to look at him and smell him. AJ absolutely loved music, among his long list of music his favorites were his lullabies: Wanderer’s lullaby, Song of the Sea, Tears of an Angel, True Colors from Trolls, Dreaming of You by Selena and many other classical songs. The mornings he would drink his milk then want to watch Mickey Mouse Club House, The Lion Guard and many more Disney cartoons. AJ was very vocal, he loved to coo at everyone he’d meet. He would even be talking to his angels while he was in his crib. He even started to say ma and da. Although Baby AJ was here for a short period of time, he made a great impact on everyone he met. His smile was the quality in his personality. He was such a unique perfect child in this imperfect world. Baby AJ is survived by his parents, Angel Marquez and Brittany Edmonds of Española; maternal grandmother, Regina Edmonds of Rio Rancho; maternal grandfather, Lawrence Romero of Española; paternal grandmother, Melanie Lopez of Española; maternal great-grandfather, Nelson Edmonds (Rena) of Alcalde; maternal great-grandmother, Natalie Edmonds of Rio Rancho; paternal great-grandparents, Jose Liberato Lopez and Minnie Lopez of Las Trampas; maternal uncles, Bryan Edmonds and Brandon Tenorio both of Rio Rancho; paternal aunts, Crystal Marquez and Christine Marquez both of California and many other relatives, family and friends. Private services will be held at a later date. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Edmonds, Brandon Ternorio, Antonio Vigil and Troy Montoya. The family of Angel Aldo Alfonso Marquez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
