Andrew Martin Casados, 47, born on November 16, 1966, was called to be with his Lord on March 26, 2014. Andrew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank J. and Adonelia Serrano; brother, Edward G. Romero; aunts, Emma Baird and Faye Davis; paternal grandmother, Adela Casados. Andrew was born and raised in Española Valley, attending McCurdy School and the NM Military Institute, later attending the Northern NM Community College. He was an accomplished auto body mechanic, he worked at the Española Hospital and the NM Corrections Department as a network administrator. Andrew most recently resided in Albuquerque, he loved visiting with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and family gatherings. He enjoyed fishing, computers, movies, and music. Andrew was loved by all who knew him, especially for his generosity and giving nature. Andrew is survived by his daughter, Angelica D. Casados (Josh Abeyta); parents, Joe and Marcella Romero, and Ralph and Lorraine Casados; brother, Ralph L. Casados (Rose), sister, Holly Romero (Doug); two grandchildren, Jasmine Casados and Joshua Abeyta; grandfather, Herminio Casados, and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be nephews, Mark and Jayson Casados; cousin, Mario Sanchez, friends, Ken Ciccinati, Manulito Roybal and Josh Abeyta. The family of Andrew Casados has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
