Andres (Andy) Cipriano Gallegos, 69, a resident of Guachupangue passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Andy was very motivated as a young man. He studied computer programming in Santa Fe while still in high school. He continued school while working in Los Alamos as an Equal Opportunities Administrator. From there he advanced to Information Technologist at the Nevada test site. Upon returning to New Mexico, he was an instrumental member on the team that brought the Northern New Mexico Community College to Española. Later in life he spent his time building 2 very beautiful, unique, adobe homes. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. and Teresa M. Gallegos; brother, Louis E. Gallegos; sisters: Clara Guillen and Eva Gallegos-Martinez. Andy is survived by his 5 sisters: Genara Griego and husband Richard of Albuquerque, Martha Gurule and husband Mike of Belen, Rebecca Montoya and Vivian Gutierrez both of Albuquerque, Ana Naranjo of Santa Clara; special aunt, Gloria Maestas of Guachupangue; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date for the immediate family as per Andy’s request.
