Amanda A. - Age 23 - Truchas/Cordova - Romero

AMANDA A. ROMERO, 23, a resident of Truchas and originally of Cordova, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2011. She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Vidal and Rosalito Trujillo; aunt, Flora Lopez and cousin, Ernesto Martinez. She enjoyed caring for her daughters and caring for her mom and dad. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Ms. Romero is survived by her daughters, MiKayla and Dominique Romero of Cordova; parents, Gilbert and Carol Romero of Cordova; brothers, Gilbert V. Romero and wife Janel of Ojo Sarco and Gabriel Romero of Española; niece, Aspen Romero of Ojo Sarco; paternal grandmother, Priscilla T. Romero of Cordova; maternal grandmother, Susie Medina of Gypsum, CO and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday April 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Interment will follow at the Cordova Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Dolly Torres, Jill Johnson, Priscilla Rael, Erica, Lynette Sandoval and Jolyn Martinez.
