Amanda - age 31 - Los Ojos Martinez

Amanda Antoinette Martinez, 31, a resident of Tierra Amarilla, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014. She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Paul Martinez; maternal grandparents, Pablo and Manuelita Casados; and paternal grandparents, Manuel Antonio and Avenicia Martinez. Amanda is survived by her beautiful son, Robert Leroy Ulibarri of Tierra Amarilla; mother, Joanne Martinez and companion Elipio Mercure of Tierra Amarilla; father, Leroy A. Martinez and wife Tina of Las Nutrias; brothers, Gilbert L. Martinez and wife, Paula of Tierra Amarilla, and Luis E. Martinez and wife Becky of Ensenada; niece, Angelica of Española; nephews, Anthony Paul and Gilbert, Jr. of Tierra Amarilla; Godparents, Tomas Casados and wife Stella of Los Ojos and Debbie Garcia of Albuquerque; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a memorial mass to follow at 1:00 p.m. also at San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a burial to follow at San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Los Ojos. Serving as honorary pallbearers are her Escalante High School classmates, Tatum Terrazas, Amalia "Molly" Sanchez, Anthony Ulibarri, Jose Jaramillo, Jose Valdez, Freddy Aguilar, and close friend, Lyndsy Sanchez. The family of Amanda Martinez has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
