Alonzo Trujillo

Alonzo Ben Trujillo Sr, 61 years old of Chimayo, NM, has been called home to the Lord on Sunday August 4, 2024. Alonzo was born in Espanola, NM, to the late Esequiel and Erminda Trujillo and was raised by the late Abel and Adonisa Trujillo all of Chimayo, NM.

Alonzo was a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend to many, and was well known for his camaraderie, great work ethic in plaster masonry and construction, and his love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed being with his family, going for wood, hunting and fishing, mud bogging, and working all around Northern NM.

Alonzo was preceded in death by his parents Esequiel and Erminda Trujillo, Abel and Adonaisa Trujillo; grandparents Edwardo and Martina Martinez, Benino and Eluteria Trujillo; half-sisters Utilia Allex and Nancy Trujillo; brother-in-law Ralph Montoya; sister-in-law MaryAnn Trujillo, and Nephew Joey Trujillo.

He is survived by his son Alonzo Trujillo Jr (Cheron); daughter Mindy Trujillo (Kevin); and mother of his children Elizabeth Torrez; grandchildren Lynette Trujillo, Adrian Trujillo, Kevin Martinez Jr, Kaitlyn Lovato, and Leiani Montoya; Godparents Carpio and Cecilia Martinez; siblings Lorenzo Trujillo, Joe Trujillo, Loyola Montoya; half-siblings Juan Trujillo (Lucy), Cornelio Trujillo, Cloraida Guevara (Carl), Delbert Trujillo (Dolores), and Hart Allex; nephews and nieces Jacob Trujillo, Jonas Trujillo, Joann Trujillo, and Emilio Montoya, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM, at 1:00 pm, with Mass to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Nuestra Senora de Carmel Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.

Pallbearers serving the family are Alonzo Jr, Vernon Trujillo, Peter Trujillo, Emilio Montoya, Brandon Lopez, Gilbert Torrez III, Kevin Martinez, and honorary Diego Vigil.

Honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
