Alicia - Age 84 - Peñasco Pacheco

ALICIA PACHECO was embraced by her creator on Friday, August 30, 2013, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Peñasco. Alicia always found great comfort in her Catholic faith and was a devout and active member of San Antonio De Padua Church. Alicia was a gentle and unassuming person who found pleasure in life’s little moments. She was proud of her and Pedro’s accomplishments, as well as, all of her children and grandchildren.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Rodarte; great-grandchildren, Jerome and Elizabeth Rodarte; her parents, Fidel and Elisa Vasquez; brothers, Ocelio Vasquez, Louis M. Vasquez, George Vasquez, and Daniel Vasquez; sisters, Vivianita V. Roybal, Felonis V. Vasquez, Laura V. Romero, Viola Chacon, and Jacinta V. Rodarte; father and mother-in-law, Juan and Sorida Pacheco; her brother-in-law, Felix Pacheco and her sister-in-law, Rosita Delgado.\r\nAlicia was a loving wife to her beloved husband, Pedro of 64 years, a loving mother to sons, Michael Pacheco and spouse Carole and Peter John Pacheco and spouse Cristina, and precious daughter, Rebecca Chavez and spouse Lee; loving grandmother to, Christina M. Pacheco, Andrea Pacheco, David Rodarte and spouse Tanya, Jamie Rodarte, Felicia Klitch and husband Tony, and Isabella Pacheco; loving great-grandmother to Lauren Pacheco, Lily and Luke Sims, Abigail and Tristen Rodarte and Karson Klitch. She was a loving sister to Louis Vasquez and spouse Ruby, Julie Gonzales and spouse Ernest, Harriet Brandstetter, Johnny Pacheco, and Reuben Fresquez and spouse Claudina. Alicia is also survived by many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.\r\nShe leaves her husband and all her children and grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved and they know that she loved the Lord.\r\nSpecial thanks to Holy Cross Hospital I.C.U., especially Tisha Taylor-Mascareñas, and Amber Home Health Care.\r\nPublic visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. also at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Michael Pacheco, Peter John Pacheco, David Rodarte, Lee Chavez, Johnny Pacheco, Carlos Pacheco, Scott Brandstetter, and Robert Loera. Honorary pallbearers; Lauren Pacheco, Abigail Rodarte, Isabella Pacheco, Lily Sims, Luke Sims, Tristen Rodarte, and Karson Klitch. The family of Alicia Pacheco has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
