Alice Hackim, 81, a resident of Abiquiu passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abdul Hackim; her parents, Maximino and Rosita Archuleta; sisters, Mercedes Sandoval, Rebecca Jaramillo, Trinadad Gallegos Josephine Maestas, Rose Jaramillo and Rita Montelongo; brother, Narcisco Archuleta and a nephew raised like a brother, Lawrence Martinez. Alice was actively involved with the Hermanos de Nuestro Padre Jesus Nacareno de Abiquiu. She belonged to the society of St. Anthony and St. Joseph of Abiquiu. She loved helping the church in any way and always there to give a helping hand. She was very proud of the role she played within the Padres of Abiquiu. Her favorite time of year was attending the fiestas of Santo Tomas and Santa Rosa de Abiquiu. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly, especially her children. Alice is survived by her daughter, Fatima Martinez and husband Richard of Sacramento, CA; sons, Abdul Hackim Jr. and wife Kathy of Jacksonville, OR, Mohammed Iqbal Hackim and companion Mary, and Ibrahim Hackim; brothers: Bernardo Archuleta and wife Ida and Remijio Archuleta; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial to take place at Abiquiu Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Jerry, Bernie, Max and Victor Archuleta, Ben Jaramillo and Juan Lopez.
