Ruth Lopez-Lujan 59 and Alfred C. Lujan 65 With deep sadness, we announce the passing of two incredible souls.

Ruth Renee Lopez-Lujan, age 59, spread her beautiful butterfly wings on December 22, 2020, at her home in Jaconita, NM. Exactly one year later, she was met by her husband Alfred Carl Lujan, age 65, of Jaconita, NM, and the two rode off on their Harley Davidson into the sunset.

Those who knew the pair knew that they lived life to the fullest. Alfred was a generous man with a giving heart who was always willing to help a friend. He loved Harley’s, camping, classic rock concerts, and his beautiful wife, Ruth. Alfred's purpose on earth was to serve as a loving and adventurous son, brother, father, grandpa, godfather, nephew, cousin, and friend. Ruth had such an enormous heart with a deep love for everyone she met. She opened her home and devoted most of her life to nurturing and loving other people’s children. Her purpose on earth was to serve as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, godmother, niece, aunt, cousin, babysitter, and friend.

Burial services for both will be held on January 8, 2022, at 1:00 pm, in El Rancho, New Mexico. Services will be held outdoors, but the family requests that all attendees wear a mask to protect not only themselves but others in attendance.
