Alfred Roybal

Alfred Roybal, a proud Veteran of the Army, passed away peacefully on March 02, 2024, surrounded in love by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Maria Roybal, infant daughter StacyAnn, son Alfred John Roybal, granddaughter Mercedes Roybal, grandson Joshua Roybal, brothers Pat Roybal (Christine), Benito Roybal (Sandy), Martin “Jr.” Roybal. 

 He was the son of Martin and Maria Roybal. Alfred grew up in El Rancho, New Mexico. He was born on May 13, 1945. He attended Pojoaque High School. He obtained an associate degree as a Master Chef. At the age of 21, Alfred enlisted in the Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of a E4. As part of this service, he was decorated with the Silver Star. 

Alfred is survived by his wife Beatrice Roybal, daughters Vanessa Trujillo (J.T.), Marsha Villarreal (Terry), daughter-in-law Katya Narvaiz (Leon), grandsons Peter (Brandy), Ignacio (Jessica), Johnny (Allie), Mateo, John, Nicolas, great grandson Adam, granddaughter Kaitlyn, and many other beloved family and friends. 

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz de la Canada in Santa Cruz, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. 

The Pallbearers will be Tio Madrid, Norman Archuleta, Johnny Roybal, Mateo Roybal, John Romero, and Leon Narvaiz. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kaitlyn Jaramillo-Roybal, Tomasita Martinez, Peggy Romero, Adam Martinez, Henrietta Gaines, Jennifer Montoya, and Tiera.
