Alfonso Samora

ALFONSO E. SAMORA, a resident of Ensenada, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He was born on March 2, 1937 to Juan Pablo Samora and Julianita Lopez Samora in Las Nutrias, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Felipe, Andreita, Nemecio, Ruth, Aurelio, Horacio, Joe and Cristobal. Mr. Samora is survived by his wife, Preciliana Samora; by his sons, Elifar (Valerie) and Patrick (Renee); grandchildren, John Paul Salazar, Vanessa, Dolores (Zack), Serenity, Savannah, Amada and Marco; great-grandchildren, Antonio, Dominic, Adrian, Dakota, Adyn and Amaya; only living sibling, Julia Ulibarri (Epimenio); niece raised as a sister, Annie Garcia and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos. Burial to follow at the San Joaquin Cemetery in Ensenada with the following serving as pallbearers, Marco Samora, Candido Samora, Orlando Ulibarri, Gilbert Ulibarri, Salvador Samora and Charlie Valdez. Honorary pallbearers will be his 5 granddaughters. The family of Alfonso E. Samora has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
